Literature Text
Soft tears flowing from my face,
I look outside to get away.
I silently sit,
feeling the cold,
seeing the rain.
Observing the beauty of the rain.
I wipe my tears away.
I silently sit,
shifting my dress
observing the rain.
I hear its gentle song,
On my window, pit... pat.
I silently sit,
a smile forms;
listen to the rain.
I suddenly feel sleepy watching...
oh how I droop and nod.
I silently sit,
my worries decaying.
I listen to the rain.
I look outside my window
the streets slowly flooding.
I silently sit,
with a sudden idea;
a good idea...
No more sitting by the window,
I desperately want to feel.
I silently stand,
my feet meet the floor.
It's time to go.
Endless gasps escape my breath.
I feel the invigorating rain.
I silently stand,
my arms open wide,
my hair growing wet.
Oh, this feels so good!
My aches and pains vanish.
I silently stand,
my face towards the clouds.
I let my sorrow go.
Crystals hit my face and arms...
I cry with a burning sensation.
I silently stand,
drenched to my bones,
the wind carries me up.
Goosebumps reside on arms and legs,
never felt so much peace.
I silently stand,
arms slowly come down...
head suddenly hangs low.
Did you know that he liked the rain?
He liked the feel this too.
I silently stand,
under the Willow.
It shields me and drowns me in the rain.
I remember that lovely man,
He was my shield from the rain.
I silently crouch,
tears keeping time with the rain,
why did he leave me?
My sorrow wonders back regrettably
I hold myself in a shiver.
I silently sit,
my dress spreads the ground,
in the rain.
My tears return; my eyes gloss.
I hug my body against the tree.
I silently sit,
I see the beauty of the rain,
but his memory crashes with me...
Under the Willow...
I look outside to get away.

Be Jesus to Me
Be Jesus to me.
He touched the dirty,
loved the unlovable,
he ate with sinners,
brought God to their midst.
Be Jesus to me.
He brought forgiveness,
not harsh condemnation.
He did not avoid
the world's cast-aways,
the tax collectors, prostitutes,
adulterers and murderers,
thieves, terrorists and all those whom
the just had thrown away.
Be Jesus to me.
But I only see
your harsh protests,
conservative laws,
accusations,
talking past me
or behind my back;
complaints, not love -
and you don't talk to me.
I am waiting
for a kind word,
a shoulder to lean on,
a listening ear
to pour out my heart
- my aching heart

One Moment
It was one moment to show love.
It was one moment to change a life.
It was one moment to impact someone.
It was one moment to give them hope for a better future.
It was one moment to make them smile.
It was one moment to encourage them.
It was one moment to hold their hand.
It was one moment to hold them.
It was one moment to give them memories of happiness.
It was one moment that they would never forget.
But it was that one moment,
You decided wasn't worth it.

Protector
It was a nice summer night. Jesus stroked Cayla's head slowly and carefully, He put His fingers through her fine red hair. She purred and patted Jesus's left hand. He smiled and said, "Love, I need to tell you something."
She sat upright in His lap.
"What is it, Jesus?" she asked eagerly.
"You need to know of My protection."
Two doves flew up a tree right across from the Olive Grove where they were sitting. One of the doves was gently cooing to the other, and the other dove responded by cooing back. Cayla watched carefully and then Jesus pointed at them.
"Do you see those two doves, love?" He asked.
"Surely..." sh

For those of you who don't know, my father passed away September 1st, 2010 and I ask that you keep my family in your prayers and thoughts.
This one is another poem for my father. This is one of my favorite things to do when I am sad. On a rainy day, I will just stand in the rain and sing "Stand in the Rain" by superchick.... in which you really should listen to...
I thought of the rain as God's tears... or my daddy's tears...
I love you daddy. ---> this is for my sister too!
